LenderLogix, a leading provider of mortgage point-of-sale and automation software for banks, credit unions, independent mortgage banks and brokers, announced an enhancement to its LiteSpeed Point-of-Sale solution that now encourages borrowers to leave tips for loan officers.  The new feature is expected to open new revenue opportunities for loan officers as it’s introduced to borrowers during the online application process.

“Tipping culture has taken over the country and as a leading provider of borrower facing technology, we feel the time is right to introduce tipping into the mortgage process,” said LenderLogix Co-Founder and CEO Patrick O'Brien.  “By introducing a tip screen into LiteSpeed’s elegant workflow, LenderLogix is enabling loan offers to get a little somethin somethin with each incoming application."

“Everyone else is doing it so why not us?” added Gus Williams, Senior Loan Officer at Capital Bank & Trust.  “I got a hot dog at the food truck the other day and the lady says ‘I just need you to answer a couple questions’ and turns the screen around and it’s asking me to leave a tip. I mean I’m putting the ketchup and relish on myself so what the heck's that all about?” asked Williams.

Loan officer tipping will be available for borrowers submitting online loan applications beginning April 1, 2024.
